A bioclimatic — or louvered — pergola is a motorised outdoor roof system whose aluminium louvres rotate from 0 to 135 degrees. Open, the louvres give shade and natural ventilation; closed, they form a watertight roof. It is controlled by remote, smartphone or automatically by a rain sensor.
Yes — when the louvres are closed the system is watertight. Channels inside each louvre collect the rain and the water drains away through concealed downpipes in the posts. The rain sensor closes the louvres before you even notice the first drops.
In Türkiye, open-sided, lightweight and demountable shading pergolas are generally not subject to a building permit; a permit becomes relevant if the sides are enclosed into a closed volume or a concrete foundation is poured. Rules differ by country and municipality, so we confirm the current local requirements with you during the free site survey and provide the technical documents needed.
The price is driven by size (m²), motor and automation level, LED lighting, sensors, and side infills such as zip screens or guillotine glass. Enter your dimensions in our pergola configurator for an instant quotation — the site survey and measurement are free of charge.
